Sustainability
For Lindhaus, sustainability is not just a feature of materials or energy consumption, but a principle that guides the entire machine design process.
The goal is to develop professional cleaning solutions that guarantee high performance while reducing environmental impact throughout the product’s life cycle.
For over 30 years, we have been manufacturing and selling machines that last, generation after generation.
We do not want to participate in the disposable market.
Aware of how important it is to preserve
and respect the environment in which we live, we have decided to implement a number of strategies.
In 2022, solar panels were installed in our Padua plant, and thanks to these we are able to produce more than 95 percent of our energy needs.
In 2023 we carried out a major renovation of the whole company. We redid all the windows and fixtures and the heating system. The exterior walls were insulated, the lighting system was redone with LED lights. The company is now Class A.
We recycle 100% of our production waste: plastic, steel, copper.
For example, the plastic waste we get from printing tanks is fed back into the production cycle of the same component. In this way we are able to recycle but without losing the quality of the materials.
100% of the energy we purchase is produced exclusively from renewable sources.
Our machines have high cleaning and filtering efficiency, allowing clean air to be re-emitted into the environment.
We print most of our manuals on recycled paper.
All Lindhaus scrubbers have a tank cap that is also a dispenser; with only 1% Lindhaus detergent product (26 ml) it is possible to wash 60/80 sq m with LW30 and LW38 and about 1000 sq m with LW44 Flexy. Environmental impact is evidently minimized, and we can say that Lindhaus scrubbers require 10 times less water and detergent than any manual scrubbing system.
High Energy Density
Lithium batteries store much more energy in a smaller volume than conventional lead-acid or nickel batteries.
๐ It means more range with less weight and footprint.
Fast charging with no memory effect
They can be recharged at any time, even if not fully discharged, without reducing capacity over time.
Charging times are much shorter than other technologies.
Long service life
They offer a high number of charge and discharge cycles (up to 1000 or more), maintaining excellent performance over time.
๐ Fewer replacements, lower maintenance costs.
Consistent performance
The voltage remains stable during almost the entire discharge cycle, ensuring constant power until the end of the range.
Reduced weight
About 40-60% lighter than equivalent lead-acid batteries.
Perfect for portable or push machines where handling is important.
Lindhaus develops machines characterized by low noise levels so that they can also be used in sensitive environments such as hotels, offices, hospitals, and public facilities.
Controlling noise emissions is a fundamental factor in improving operator comfort and reducing the environmental impact of cleaning activities.
To assess the environmental impact of its products, Lindhaus has launched Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies in accordance with international standards ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
These analyses make it possible to assess the environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle of the machine, from production to use to end of life, supporting the development of increasingly efficient and sustainable solutions.
The new frontier for being sustainable
The brushless digital motor is the result of a long development work carried out in synergy with Rotafil, parallel to the development of the electronic management.
The result in terms of size, weight (only 450g), performance and noise is truly outstanding when compared with the best brushless motors on the market today.
We were able to reduce consumption by about 50 percent for the same performance compared to the excellent Rotafil brushless motor mounted on our LB4 L-ion shoulder machine.
Our commitment yesterday, today, and for the future
Increasingly efficient and sustainable machines
We are committed to developing technologies that deliver high performance with lower resource consumption. We design Lindhaus machines to achieve professional results while reducing energy, water, and detergent consumption.
Through high-efficiency motors, optimized suction systems, and technical solutions developed in-house, we work to continuously improve the efficiency of our machines. The optimization of air flows, the balance between power and performance, and the careful design of each component allow us to achieve excellent cleaning results with low consumption.
This approach allows us to:
โข reduce energy consumption during use
โข limit the use of water and detergents
โข reduce machine noise
โข lower operating costs throughout the product’s life cycle
The goal is to offer machines that combine operational efficiency, operator comfort, and lower environmental impact, while maintaining the high standards of reliability and performance that characterize Lindhaus products.
Extending the life cycle of products
For Lindhaus, sustainability also depends on the durability of our machines.
We have always designed robust products that can be repaired and upgraded over time, with easily replaceable components and spare parts available in the long term. A machine that lasts longer reduces waste, disposal, and resource consumption.
We do not want to participate in the disposable market: instead, we believe in products designed to work for a long time and maintain high performance over time.
This is why, together with our dealers, we promote a culture of scheduled maintenance, which is essential for preserving the efficiency and reliability of our machines.
Proper maintenance allows to:
โข extend the useful life of the machines, reducing the need for replacement
โข maintain high cleaning performance over time
โข reduce component wear through periodic checks
โข replace filters and parts subject to wear in advance, avoiding more serious damage
โข ensure greater energy efficiency, thanks to machines that are always in optimal condition
A well-maintained machine โ clean, with efficient filters and regularly checked components โ can continue to operate for many years, reducing its overall environmental impact.
Responsible production and environmental transparency
Designing and manufacturing in Italy allows Lindhaus to have direct control over production. It also allows us to constantly improve production processes, reducing raw material waste, optimizing the use of resources, and making production increasingly efficient.
As part of our commitment to greater sustainability and transparency, we have launched an in-depth study of the life cycle of our products, with the aim of defining a structured Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) process for Lindhaus machines. This approach allows us to analyze the environmental impact of our products throughout all stages of their life cycle, from production to use to the end of their operational cycle.
To this end, we have also developed technical documentation dedicated to CAM โ Minimum Environmental Criteria, which highlights the design solutions adopted to improve the efficiency of the machines, facilitate the work of operators, and reduce the environmental impact of cleaning operations.
For Lindhaus, transparency, reliability and verifiable data are fundamental elements for communicating our commitment to increasingly sustainable professional cleaning in a concrete manner.
